Mubasher: The indices of Boursa Kuwait closed Wednesday’s trading session 0.1% or 6.9 points lower at 6,823.03 points.
The weighted index retreated by 0.12%, while the Kuwait-15 index edged up 0.1%.
The banks segment topped four gainers with 0.09%, in line with the 0.28% rise of the National Bank of Kuwait (NBK).
The performance of the NBK’s stock was positive on Wednesday, with a key resistance level at 730 fils, technical analyst Mohamad Al Anzi said, noting that if this resistance level is exceeded, it can lead to targets of 780 fils and 830 fils, respectively.
Meanwhile, the insurance sector led seven decliners with 1.82%, dragged by Warba Insurance which led decliners with 17%.
Bourse Kuwait’s liquidity shrank by 41.4 % to KWD 11.54 million on Wednesday from KWD 19.69 million in the previous session, after 67.85 million shares were exchanged compared to 110.23 million.
KFH recorded the highest liquidity of KWD 2.25 million, closing at 553 fils.
Al Imtiaz was the most active stock on which 11.28 million shares were exchanged, falling 1.2%.
