Mubasher: The indices of Boursa Kuwait closed Wednesday’s trading session with mixed performance; the price index gained 0.18% or 12.34 points to 7,042.12 points, the weighted index lost 0.41%, and Kuwait-15 index fell by 0.62%.
The market’s turnover increased to KWD 26.63 million, while the trading volume shrank to 272.8 million shares.
The oil and gas sector topped five gainers with 0.83%, on the back of Energy House and IPG which rose by 6.25% and 3.70%, respectively.
Meanwhile, the banks segment led seven decliners with 0.53%, dragged by KFH and NBK which lost 1.82% and 1.43%, respectively.
Gulf Franchising was the top winner with 8.62%, while Nafais led the losers with 11.1%.
Taameer was the most active stock, on which 32.9 million shares were traded, rising 5.26%.
Al Imtiaz recorded the highest trading value of KWD 2.8 million, up 1.09%.
