Kuwait – Mubasher: Boursa Kuwait witnessed a mixed performance in Wednesday’s closing, as the price index rose 0.27% or 18.57 points to reach 6,819.70 points, while the weighted and Kuwait-15 indices levelled down 0.55% and 0.72%, respectively.
The oil and gas sector grew 4%, supported by a rise in three stocks led by Napesco with 7.09%.
The consumer goods sector climbed 0.83%, as Kuwait Resorts (Muntazahat) jumped 6.88%.
On the other hand, the banks sector led decliners, falling 0.74%, pressured by a 2.3% drop in Ahli United Bank – Kuwait (AUB).
Liquidity increased to KWD 6.66 million on Wednesday from KWD 5.4 million on Tuesday, while trading volume reached 32.09 million shares, up from 30.52 million shares.
AUB led in terms of trading volume with 4.25 million shares, while the National Bank of Kuwait (NBK) led in terms of turnover with KWD 1.08 million.v
