Kuwait – Mubasher: Boursa Kuwait witnessed a mixed performance in Wednesday’s early trades, as the price index rose 0.33% or 22.14 points to reach 6,823.27 points, the weighted index inched up 0.06%, and the Kuwait-15 index edged down 0.01%.
By 10:10 am Kuwait time, the oil and gas sector grew 4.05% as Napesco and PetroGulf increased 7.38% and 0.27%, respectively.
The real estate sector gained 0.26% after Al Massaleh surged 12.8%.
On the other hand, the consumer goods sector fell 0.18% as Danah Al Safat Foodstuff decreased 2.8%.
The basic materials sector inched down 0.07% after Boubyan Petrochemical went down 0.34%.
Liquidity reached KWD 662,170, after 3.48 million shares were traded, through 207 transactions.
Asiya Capital Investment Co’s stock led in terms of trading volume with 426,500 shares, rising 4.06%, while Mobile Telecommunications’ (Zain) stock was the most active in terms of traded value with a turnover of KWD 186,120, falling 0.47%.
