Mubasher: The indices of Boursa Kuwait started Monday’s trading session with a mixed performance.
The benchmark price index went up 0.23% or 15.1 points to reach 6,685.87 points, the weighted index added 0.04%, while the Kuwait-15 index retreated by 0.11%.
By 9:34am Kuwait time, technology companies topped gainers with 1.73%.
The real estate sector added 0.58%, backed by Injazzat which rose by 5.6%.
Meanwhile, telecom companies led decliners with 2.39%, dragged by Ooredoo and Viva which lost 7.74% and 2.455%, respectively.
The Energy House was the top winner with 9.9%, while Specialities Group led losers with 18%.
Boursa Kuwait’s turnover amounted to KWD 3 million after the trading volume stood at 18.7 million shares traded through 845 transactions.
The National Bank of Kuwait (NBK) posted the highest liquidity of KWD 1.71 million.
Kuwait Business Town was the most active stock on which 4.83 million shares were exchanged. Earlier on Monday, the company announced a slight rise of 0.13% in its profits to KWD 3.161 million in fiscal year 2017.
