Mubasher: The indices of Boursa Kuwait started Monday’s session with a mixed performance; the second day after the market segmentation.
By 9:55am Kuwait time, the Premier Market index edged up 0.15% or 7.2 points to 4,945.9 points.
Meanwhile, the All-Share index retreated by 0.02% or 0.8 points to 4,963.34 points, and the Main Market index went down 0.29% or 14.5 points to 4,993.41 points.
Telecom companies led decliners with 1.75%, while the banking sector topped the gainers.
Boursa Kuwait’s turnover amounted to KWD 1.03 million after 5.7 million shares were traded through 405 transactions.
The National Bank of Kuwait (NBK) was the most active stock, in the Premier Market, on which 542,000 shares were traded at a value of nearly KWD 404,700. The stock reached 746 fils.
Meanwhile, Mazaya Holding was the most active stock in the Main Market with a trading volume of around 816,600 valued at nearly KWD 88,200. The stock went down 0.92%.
