Mubasher: The price index of Boursa Kuwait started Sunday’s trading session 0.25% or 17.40 points higher to reach 6,798.36 points.
By 9:35 am Kuwait time, both the weighted and Kuwait-15 indices gained 0.55% and 0.76%, respectively.
The banks segment topped gainers with 0.89%, backed by Burgan which went up 3.6% to post the highest level in a year and a half.
Meanwhile, the real estate sector led decliners with 0.06%, dragged by Kuwait Business Town which lost 0.81%.
The market’s liquidity stood at KWD 5.6 million, after 24.1 million shares were exchanged through 816 transactions.
PetroGulf was the most active stock on which 4.73 million shares were traded, rising 3.98%.
KFH recorded the highest turnover of KWD 1.72 million, up 1.35%.
