Kuwait – Mubasher: Boursa Kuwait indices rose in Sunday’s early trades as the banks and the financial services sectors topped risers.
By 11:00 am Kuwait time, the price index grew 0.15% or 10.68 points to reach 6,821.36 points, while the weighted and Kuwait-15 indices gained 0.63% and 1.07%, respectively.
The banks sector went up 0.54% as the National Bank of Kuwait (NBK) levelled up 2.7%, while the financial services sector increased 0.44% after Boubyan International Industries Holding rose 5.95%.
On the other hand, the technology sector fell 1.9% as Automated Systems retreated 6.19%.
The telecommunications sector lost 1.16% after Kuwait Telecommunications Company (VIVA) went down 2.59%.
Trading volume reached 6.29 million shares with a turnover of KWD 1.98 million, through 276 transactions.
NBK’s stock was the most active in terms of traded value with 1.5 million shares exchanged with a liquidity of KWD 1.1 million.
