Mubasher: The benchmark price index of Boursa Kuwait started Thursday’s trading session 0.05% or 3.07 points higher to reach 6,771.81 points.
Both the weighted and Kuwait-15 indices went up 0.05% and 0.19%, respectively.
Boursa Kuwait is expected to end this week with the main index breaking 6,790 points to regain its positive performance in line with the anticipation for disclosures of the third quarter’s income statements, capital market analyst Mohamad Al Anzi told Mubasher.
By 9:46am Kuwait time, the financial services sector topped four gainers with 0.18%, backed by KAMCO which rose 12.5% to be the top winner.
Meanwhile, the telecom segment led five decliners with 0.07%, dragged by Ooredoo which lost 2.33% to be the top loser.
Boursa Kuwait’s turnover reached KWD 3.7 million after 16.6 million shares were traded through 525 transactions.
Zain registered the highest liquidity of KWD 1.6 million after 3.07 million shares were exchanged, reaching 517 fils.
