Mubasher: The indices of Boursa Kuwait started Thursday’s trading session with a mixed performance; the benchmark price index went up 0.06% or 4.06 points to 6,705.37 points.
By 9:48am Kuwait time, both the weighted and Kuwait-15 indices retreated 0.06% and 0.17%, respectively.
Insurance companies topped gainers with 3.43%, backed by Al Ahleia Insurance which rose by 20% to be the top winner.
Meanwhile, the consumer services segment led decliners with 1.3%, dragged by Kuwait Cinema and Jazeera Airways with a drop of 4.3% and 1.5%, respectively.
Boursa Kuwait’s trading value amounted to KWD 2.6 million after 8.7 million shares were exchanged.
Kuwait Finance House (KFH) was the most active stock on which 1.82 million shares were traded at a value of KWD 1.07 million. The stock reached 589 fils.
