Kuwait - Mubasher: The indices of Boursa Kuwait started Tuesday’s session with a mixed performance; the price index gained 0.46% or 30.03 points to reach 6,742.60 points, while both the weighted and Kuwait-15 lost 0.17% and 0.51%, respectively.
By 9:40am Kuwait time, the telecom segment led four decliners with 1.84%, dragged by Viva and Zain which lost 3.61% and 2.22%, respectively.
Meanwhile, the oil and gas sector topped seven gainers with 1.69%, on the back of Napesco which rose 3.33%.
Gulf Franchising led losers with 8.62%, while Amwal topped winners with 7.94%.
Turnover stood at KWD 14.2 million, after 113.6 million shares were traded through about 2,100 transactions.
Zain recorded the highest liquidity of KWD 5.7 million.
