Mubasher: The benchmark price index of Boursa Kuwait started Tuesday’s trading session 0.04% or 3 points lower to reach 6,671.57 points.
Meanwhile, both the weighted and Kuwait-15 indices retreated 0.16% and 0.29%, respectively.
The coming period is expected to witness a change in the price index’s movement, boosting the investors’ sentiments, capital market analyst Amir Al Mansour told Mubasher.
By 9:52am Kuwait time, the banks segment went up 0.21%, backed by Gulf Bank of Kuwait (GBK) which rose by 1.63%.
Meanwhile, the telecom sector led decliners with 0.35%, dragged by Aan Digital Services Co which lost 1.86%.
EK Holding was the top winner with a rise of 7.2%, while Al Deera Holding led losers with a fall of 4.84%.
Boursa Kuwait’s turnover amounted to KWD 9.53 million after 46.7 million shares were traded through 1,380 transactions.
GBK was the most active stock on which 8.5 million shares were exchanged at a value of KWD 2.11 million.
