Mubasher: The benchmark index of Boursa Kuwait retreated 0.26% or 16.2 points to reach 6,238.4 points at the opening of Tuesday’s session.
By 10:08am Kuwait time, the weighted index declined 0.04%, while the Kuwait-15 index went up 0.04%.
The telecom segment led decliners with 1.02%, dragged by Viva and Zain which lost 1.92% and 0.67%, respectively.
Meanwhile, the banks sector topped gainers with 0.16%, backed by Ithmaar which levelled up 1.03%.
Hayat Communications was the top loser with a drop of 20%, while Automated Systems topped the winners with a rise of 19.05%.
Boursa Kuwait’s liquidity amounted to KWD 1.5 million after 8.5 million shares were exchanged through 531 transactions.
Aayan Leasing was the most active stock on which 1.09 million shares were traded, falling 0.55%.
Zain posted the highest liquidity of nearly KWD 385,400.
