Mubasher: Boursa Kuwait indices started Wednesday in the red zone after its main price index decreased 0.45% or 29.6 points to reach 6,568.78 points, while the weighted and Kuwait-15 indices shed 0.46%, and 0.53%, respectively.
By 9:55 am Kuwait time, the consumer goods sector tumbled 3.5% as Kuwait Food’s – Americana stock slid 10.1%, and Danah Al Safat Foodstuff’s stock fell.
On the other hand, the insurance sector rose 1.18% after First Takaful Insurance’s stock increased 5.6%, and Kuwait Insurance’s stock grew.
Boursa Kuwait’s trading volume reached 15.82 million shares, through 595 transactions, with a liquidity of KWD 3 million.
Mobile Telecommunications’ (Zain) stock, up 0.8%, led the bourse in terms of trading value with a turnover of KWD 823,650, while Aayan Leasing and Investment that went up 1.8%, topped in terms of traded volume after 2.32 million shares were exchanged.
