Mubasher: The benchmark price index of Boursa Kuwait edged down 0.06% or 4.8 points to reach 6,608.46 points, the weighted index retreated 0.12%, and the Kuwait-15 index went down 0.15%.
By 10:04am Kuwait time, the basic materials segment led decliners with 0.57%, while the oil and gas sector topped gainers with 1.01%, pushed by Energy House which rose 3.8%.
Kuwait and Middle East Financial Investment (KMEFIC) led losers with a fall of 12.73%, while National Industries topped winners with 6.32%.
Boursa Kuwait’s turnover amounted to KWD 4.7 million after 21.1 million shares were exchanged through 985 transactions.
Zain was the most active stock on which 2.66 million shares were traded at a value of KWD 1.36 million, rising 0.39%.
