Kuwait – Mubasher: The benchmark price index of Boursa Kuwait decreased 0.13% or 9 points to reach 6,896.96 points in Wednesday’s early trades, while the weighted and Kuwait-15 indices shed 0.15%, and 0.1%, respectively.
The price index has support levels 6,857 and 6,808 points, aiming the levels of 6,940 and 6,955 points, and the bourse liquidity may exceed KWD 23 million on Wednesday, said capital market analyst Mohamed Al-Anzy.
By 9:30 am Kuwait time, the telecommunications sector lost 0.92% as Mobile Telecommunications Company’s (Zain) stock declined 0.2%.
The banks sector inched down 0.02% after the stock of Kuwait Finance House (KFH) fell 0.32%.
On the other hand, the financial services sector rose 0.26% as Unicap Investment and Finance’s stock surged 15.12%.
Wethaq Takaful Insurance’s stock was the worst performer with 11.76%, reaching 45 fils, after 3,000 shares were exchanged, at a value of KWD 135.
Boursa Kuwait’s trading volume reached 15.15 million shares, through 555 transactions, with a liquidity of KWD 3.05 million.
Al Imtiaz Investment Group’s stock, up 0.55%, led in terms of traded volume after 6.45 million shares were exchanged, with a turnover of KWD 1.18 million.
