Kuwait – Mubasher: The benchmark index of Boursa Kuwait slipped 0.03% or 2.07 points to reach 6,770.02 points in Wednesday’s early trades.
By 9:55 am, Kuwaiti time, the weighted index inched down 0.05%, whereas Kuwait-15 edged up 0.03%.
The consumer services sector decreased 1.26% after Eyas fell 3.85%, while the industrials sector shed 0.13% as Gulf Franchising Holding slid 14.29%.
On the other hand, the oil and gas sector rose 0.92% after Energy House Holding and Contracting and Marine Services surged 8.99% and 8.43%, respectively.
Traded volume reached 11.24 million shares exchanged through 473 transactions, with a liquidity of around KWD 2 million.
Al Imtiaz Investment Group’s stock was the most active in terms of trading volume with 2.2 million shares exchanged, gaining 1.27%, while Warba Bank led stocks in terms of turnover after generating KWD 565,300, increasing 1.18%.
