Mubasher: The benchmark price index of Boursa Kuwait started Wednesday’s session 0.04% or 2.6 points lower to 6,516.27 points.
Meanwhile, both the weighted and Kuwait-15 indices gained 0.14% and 0.23%, respectively.
By 9:28am Kuwait time, the banking segment topped gainers with 0.61%, backed by Ithmaar and the National Bank of Kuwait (NBK) which rose by 6.5% and 0.53%, respectively.
Meanwhile, real estate companies led decliners with 0.52%, dragged by Tijara and Real Estate which added 10.5%.
Kuwait Foundry was the top winner with 9.21%, while Arabi Holding led losers with 12.5%.
Boursa Kuwait’s turnover amounted to KWD 1.8 million after 21.7 million shares were exchanged through 595 transactions.
Kuwait Finance House (KFH) posted the highest liquidity of about KWD 535,830.
Ithmaar was the most active stock on which 10.78 million shares were traded.
