Mubasher: The indices of Boursa Kuwait started Wednesday’s session with a mixed performance; the benchmark price index gained 0.44% or 29 points to 6,699.36 points.
By 9:32am Kuwait time, both the Kuwait-15 and weighted indices edged up by 0.03% and 0.01%, respectively.
The industrial segment topped gainers with 1.83%, backed by Human Soft which rose by 6.7%.
Meanwhile, telecom companies led decliners with 0.7%, dragged by Viva which lost 1.56%.
Kuwait National Cinema was the top winner with 7.73%, following the disclosure of its income statements for fiscal year 2017 as well distributing 55% cash dividends or 55 fils per share.
Unicap led losers with 13.7% at 41 fils.
Boursa Kuwait’s turnover amounted to KWD 2 million after 10.3 million shares were traded through 450 transactions.
Kuwait Finance House (KFH) posted the highest trading value of about KWD 470,200.
Ithmaar was the most active stock on which 1.45 million shares were exchanged.
