Mubasher: The indices of Boursa Kuwait started Wednesday’s trading session with a mixed performance; the benchmark price index retreated 0.21% or 14.2 points to 6,791.54 points.
By 9:35am Kuwait time, the weighted index also edged down 0.02%, while the Kuwait-15 index added 0.08%.
Insurance companies led decliners with 2%, dragged by First Takaful which lost 17.4% to be the top loser.
Meanwhile, the basic materials segment topped gainers with 0.5%, backed by Kuwait Foundry which rose by 3.15%.
Boursa Kuwait’s turnover amounted to KWD 1.22 million after 18 million shares were exchanged through 645 transactions.
Rising 9%, Kuwait Syrian Holding was the most active stock on which 7.5 million shares were traded at a value of KWD 243,000.
