Mubasher: The indices of Boursa Kuwait registered a positive performance during the week ended on 1 February.
The benchmark price index went up 0.50% or 33.32 points to reach 6,685.23 points by the week ended on 1 February compared to 6,651.91 points by the week ended on 25 January.
The weighted index added 1.87% or 7.41 points to close this week at 404.62 points from 397.21 points in the previous week.
The Kuwait-15 index rose by 1.65% or 14.97 points to 922.29 points from 907.32 points last week.
Boursa Kuwait’s market cap retreated by 1.3% to KWD 28.03 billion this week from KWD 28.41 billion.
The trading value increased by 11.7% to KWD 76.3 million from KWD 68.3 million.
The trading volume shrank by 5.7% to 560.1 million shares this week from 593.9 million in the prior week.
Nearly 21,500 transactions were executed during this week, down by 1.3% from around 21,800 a week ago.
