Mubasher: The main price index of Boursa Kuwait ended Wednesday in the green zone after increasing 0.27% or 19 points to reach 6,924.92 points, whereas the weighted and Kuwait-15 indices tumbled 0.31% and 0.41%, respectively.
The banks sector shed 0.6% as Kuwait Finance House (KFH), and the National Bank of Kuwait stocks’ dropped 2.42%, and 0.89%, respectively.
The telecommunications sector lost 0.44% after the National Mobile Telecommunication's (Ooredoo Kuwait) stock went down 4.8%, whereas Mobile Telecommunications Company’s (Zain) stock rose 1%.
On the other hand, the industrials sector grew 1.7% as Kuwait Cement and Human Soft Holding stocks' increased 7.1%, and 4%, respectively.
Unicap Investment and Finance’s stock led the bourse risers after it surged 15.12%, whereas Gulf Investment House’s (GIH) stock was the worst performer with 9.06%.
Boursa Kuwait’s liquidity slid 23.7% reaching KWD 26.48 million on Wednesday against KWD 34.74 million on Tuesday, while trading volume levelled down 18.1% to 111.41 million shares, from 136.03 million shares.
Al Imtiaz Investment Group’s stock, up1.1%, led in terms of trading volume after 17.31 million shares were exchanged, while KFH’s stock led in terms of traded value with a turnover of KWD 5.74 million.
