Mubasher: Boursa Kuwait has signed an agreement with Ooredoo Kuwait to host the stock market’s disaster recovery (DR) datacenter, according to a recent press release.
The DR datacenter provides a highly available hosting space that allows Boursa Kuwait to remotely run and operate enterprise applications from a well-controlled and secure environment, the statement added.
This new security service will help Kuwait’s stock exchange in safeguarding mission critical data with the highest level of security and operational reliability.
“The scope of services for the new system also includes secured colocation area, high-speed connectivity between main and DR site, high available Internet connectivity, and high available market participant connections,” the press release added.
An uninterrupted connectivity between main and DR will be operated through multi-redundant links, this will be managed in case of a main circuit’s failure of Boursa Kuwait’s website.

The new DR datacenter will further strengthen our IT DR Infrastructure and improve business continuity within the organization at a lower cost with higher service standards,” the CEO of Boursa Kuwait Khaled Abdulrazzaq Al Khaled said.
