Mubasher: The benchmark index of Boursa Kuwait closed Wednesday’s trading session 0.45% or 29.64 points lower at 6,618.66 points, the weighted index retreated 0.2%, while the Kuwait-15 index remained unchanged.
The price index closed Wednesday’s session at the support level of 6,618 points after reaching the second support level of 6,594 points and rebounding from the level 6,592 points, capital market analyst Talal Al Youssuf told Mubasher.
The financial services segment led seven decliners with 1.1%, dragged by Amwal which lost 9.8%.
The real estate sector also retreated 0.49% in line with the 17.5% decline of Alargan which was the top loser.
Boursa Kuwait’s bank segment went down 0.35%, dragged by Ithmaar which lost 3.4%.
Meanwhile, the consumer services sector topped three gainers, backed by Jazeera Airways which rose by 1.7%.
Boursa Kuwait’s turnover increased by 16.4% to KWD 14.01 million on Wednesday compared to KWD 12.04 million on Tuesday, after the trading volume grew by 7.5% to 86.59 million shares from 80.56 million.
Zain recorded the highest liquidity of KWD 1.8 million, rising 0.2%.
Munshaat was the most active stock on which 10.35 million shares were exchanged, up 3.62%.
