Kuwait – Mubasher: Indices in Boursa Kuwait ended Monday’s session mixed, with the benchmark price index adding 0.29% or 19.55 points and closing at 6,656.85 points.
On the other hand, the weighted and Kuwait 15 indices were down 0.32% and 0.44%, respectively.
A total of seven sectors ended the session in the green, led by financial services, which gained 0.74% after Inovest surged 7.84%.
The real estate sector advanced 0.25%, backed by several of its stocks, led by Aqar Real Estate Investments’ 7.25% gain, while the banking sector increased 0.22% after International Financial Advisors (IFA) levelled up 1.85%.
Meanwhile, four sectors ended on a negative note, led by telecoms with 1.86% after Hits fell 3.4%, while the oil and gas sector declined 0.24%, after its stock Heavy Engineering and Ship Industries, which was the bourse’s top loser, retreated 6.35%.
Traded volume increased to 498.86 million shares on Monday, compared to 416.87 million on Sunday. Similarly, turnover rose to KWD 51.56 million from KWD 42.28 million in the previous session.
Abyaar was the most actively-traded in terms of volume after 40.1 million of the company’s shares were exchanged, while Agility was the most active in terms of traded value with KWD 10.15 million.
