Boursa Kuwait opens Monday in decline

Mubasher: Boursa Kuwait started Monday’s trading session in the red, dragged down by a massive drop of its indices.

By 09:27 am Kuwait time, the All-Share Market index went up 0.52%, while the Main Market index and the Premier Market inched up 0.14% and 0.75%, respectively.

The bourse’s turnover amounted to KWD 1.11 million, of which 83% were in the Premier Market, after 5 million shares were exchanged through 325 transactions.

The telecommunication sector topped the bourse’s decliners falling 5.27% as Zain headed the Premier Market's losers falling 7.64%.

On the other hand, the financial services sector topped the market’s gainers adding 0.38%, encouraged by a 5.8% growth of GFH.

Kuwait Finance House’s (KFH) stock, which declined 0.19%, led the market in terms of liquidity with KWD 262,400, while Gulf Bank of Kuwait’s stock, which levelled up 1.2%, headed the bourse in terms of trading volume with KWD 570,000.
