Mubasher: The benchmark price index of Boursa Kuwait started Monday’s trading session 0.31% or 20.8 points high to 6,660.81 points.
By 10:00 a.m Kuwait time, both the weighted and Kuwait-15 indices added 0.13% and 0.21%, respectively.
Oil and gas companies topped gainers with 0.59%, backed by PetroGulf and Napesco which rose by 2.66% and 0.76%, respectively.
Meanwhile, the consumer goods sector led decliners with 1.01%, dragged by Americana which lost 4.76%.
Kuwait Cable was the top winner with 39.44%, while Specialities Group led losers with 11.6%.
Boursa Kuwait’s turnover amounted to KWD 3.5 million after 15.9 million shares were exchanged through 810 transactions.
Boubyan Bank was the most active stock on which 3.6 million shares were traded at a value of KWD 1.77 million. The stock added 1.68%.
