Mubasher: The indices of Bourse Kuwait saw a downward trend early Monday.
By 9:39 am Kuwait time, the price index inched down 0.17% or 11 points to the level of 6,596.77 points.
Likewise, both the weighted and Kuwait-15 indices slipped 0.37% and 0.56%, respectively.
The insurance sector led declining sectors with 1.34%, pressured by Warba Insurance which dwindled 16.3%.
The communication sector shed 0.62%, as Mobile Telecommunications (Zain), lost 2% or 10 fils at 489 fils.
Meanwhile, the banks sector dropped marginally by 0.26%, as Burgan Bank fell 1.16%.
On the other hand, the financial services sector edged up 0.27%, bolstered by ten rising stocks led by KAMCO Investment which levelled up 6.4%.
Trading volume stood at about 21.43 million shares exchanged through 670 transactions at a liquidity of KWD 3.6 million.
Zain was the most active in terms of liquidity with KWD 1.7 million, while about 5.31 million shares were traded on Investors Holding Group, which retreated 6.16%.
