Mubasher: The benchmark price index of Boursa Kuwait started Sunday’s trading session 0.33% or 22.3 points lower at 6,662.95 points.
Both the weighted and Kuwait-15 indices retreated 0.2% and 0.22%, respectively.
By 9:40am Kuwait time, telecom companies led decliners with 2.13%, dragged by Viva and Aan Digital with a fall of 3.82% and 3.64%, respectively.
Meanwhile, the banking sector topped three gainers with 0.28%, backed by Ithmaar which added 3.4%.
Boursa Kuwait’s turnover amounted to KWD 1.93 million after 19 million shares were traded through 635 transactions.
Al Mazaya was the most active stock on which 5.07 million shares were traded at a value of nearly KWD 557,000. The stock retreated by 3.51% to reach 110 fils.
Earlier on Sunday, Al Mazaya announced a profit worth KWD 7.22 million for fiscal year 2017, 29.6% lower than KWD 10.25 million in FY16.
