Mubasher: The indices of Boursa Kuwait started Sunday’s trading session with a grouped decrease; the benchmark price index retreated 0.61% or 40.3 points to 6,614.28 points.
By 10:02am Kuwait time, both the weighted and Kuwait-15 indices levelled down 0.21% and 0.22%, respectively.
The industrial segment led decliners with 1.32%, dragged by UPAC which lost 20% to be the top loser.
Real estate and banks also declined by 0.62% each.
Meanwhile, telecom companies topped gainers with 0.53%, backed by Ooredoo which rose by 6.6%.
Boursa Kuwait’s turnover amounted to KWD 3.44 million after 24.8 million shares were exchanged through 1,120 transactions.
Kuwait Investment was the most active stock on which 7.12 million shares were traded. The stock rose by 10%, following the disclosure of its financials which recorded a 313.1% surge in profits to KWD 16.44 million in fiscal year 2017.
