Mubasher: The indices of Boursa Kuwait started Sunday’s trading session higher; the benchmark price index edged up 0.1% or 7 points to reach 6,669.07 points, while both the weighted and Kuwait-15 indices gained 0.25% and 0.29%, respectively.
By 9.35am Kuwait time, the banks segment topped six gainers with 0.54%, backed by eight stocks, namely Boubyan Bank which rose following the positive financial statements of the third quarter.
The financial services sector also went up 0.22%, backed by Credit Rating and Collection (Tahssilat) which grew 14.55% to be the top winner.
Meanwhile, the telecom segment led four decliners with a fall of 0.5%, dragged by Viva and Aan which lost 1% and 0.55%, respectively.
Boursa Kuwait’s turnover amounted to KWD 6.2 million after 28.7 million shares were exchanged through 1,010 transactions.
The Kuwait Finance House (KFH) recorded the highest liquidity of KWD 1.53 million, up 1.14%.
Gulf Bank of Kuwait (GBK) was the most active stock on which 2.48 million shares were traded, rising 3.14%.
