Mubasher: The benchmark price index of Boursa Kuwait started Sunday’s trading session 0.15% or 9.66 points higher to reach 6,642.73 points.
By 9:35am Kuwait time, the weighted index went up 0.13%, and the Kuwait-15 index gained 0.09%.
The industrial segment topped six gainers with 0.3%, backed by Specialities Group Holding which levelled up 4.76%.
The financial services sector went up 0.11% in line with the 4.35% growth of Ekttitab Holding.
PetroGulf stock edged up 0.6%, pushing the oil and gas segment to rise 0.06%.
Meanwhile, the banks segment led four decliners with 0.07%, dragged by Boubyan Bank and Ithmaar which lost 0.86% and 0.25%, respectively.
Boursa Kuwait’s liquidity amounted to KWD 1.1 million after 10.2 million shares were exchanged through 442 transactions.
Reaching 172 fils, Al Imtiaz was the most active stock on which 1.4 million shares were traded at a value of nearly KWD 239,600.
