Mubasher: The price index of Boursa Kuwait started Sunday’s trading session 0.04% or 2.75 points higher to reach 6,887.92 points.
Similarly, both the weighted and Kuwait-15 indices gained 0.12% and 0.35%, respectively.
The benchmark index is on a positive track, targeting 6,910 points and 6,935 points, respectively, while its support level is at 6,872.7 points and 6,860.4 points, capital market analyst Mohamad Al Anzi said.
By 9:38 am Kuwait time, the banks segment topped gainers with 0.29%, backed by Ithmaar and KFH which rose by 1% and 0.85%, respectively.
Meanwhile, the oil sector retreated 0.19%, dragged by Energy House which fell by 5.44% to be the top loser.
Boursa Kuwait’s turnover amounted to KWD 3.4 million, after 12.42 million shares were exchanged through 530 transactions.
Zain was the most active stock on which 3.05 million shares were traded at a value of KWD 1.52 million, falling 0.8%.
Al Anzi expected the market’s liquidity to reach KWD 16 million on Sunday.
