Mubasher: The indices of Boursa Kuwait posted a grouped decline at the opening of Sunday’s trading session; the price index went down 0.02% or 1.17 points to reach 6,709.99 points, while the weighted index lost 0.4%, and Kuwait-15 fell by 0.79%.
By 9:51am Kuwait time, turnover amounted to KWD 9.7 million as trading volume stood at 137 million shares that were exchanged through 2,640 transactions.
The oil and gas segment topped gainers with 0.7%, on the back of Napesco which rose by 1.61%.
Meanwhile, the telecom sector led decliners with a fall of 1.1%, dragged by Viva and Zain which declined by 2.44% and 2.06%, respectively.
Gulf Franchising was the top winner with a gain of 9.3%, while Cable Vision led the losers with a fall of 9.62%.
Ithmaar Holding was the most active stock on which 35.26 million shares were traded at a value of KWD 1.75 million, falling 2.02%.
