Mubasher: The indices of Boursa Kuwait started Sunday’s trading session with a mixed performance.
By 9:30 am Kuwait time, the benchmark price index edged down 0.1% or 6.9 points to 6,655.47 points, the weighted index retreated 0.08%, while the Kuwait-15 index added 0.05%.
Telecom companies led decliners with 1.16%, dragged by Ooredoo and Viva which lost 2.25% and 1.7%, respectively.
Meanwhile, the consumer services sector topped gainers with 0.26% in line with the 1.6% increase of Jiyad.
Tamkeen Holding headed the losers with 12.5%, while Amar for Finance topped the winners with 12.4%.
Boursa Kuwait’s turnover amounted to nearly KWD 923,400 after 6.5 million shares were exchanged through 315 transactions.
The National Bank of Kuwait posted the highest trading value of nearly KWD 249,830. The stock reached 781 fils.
Kuwait Real Estate was the most active stock on which 1.08 million shares were traded. The stock went down 0.4%.
