Mubasher: The indices of Boursa Kuwait started Thursday’s session in the green; the price index added 0.06%, or 4.1 points, to 6,405.18 points, the weighted index went up 0.46%, and the Kuwait-15 index rose by 0.77%.
By 9:40am Kuwait time, the telecom segment topped gainers with 0.92%, backed by Zain and Aan which rose by 3.5% and 4.7%, respectively.
The banking sector levelled up 0.79%, endorsed by Burgan Bank which gained 2.31%.
Meanwhile, the consumer services segment led decliners with 1.5%, dragged by Cinema which tumbled 12% to be the top loser.
Boursa Kuwait’s turnover amounted to KWD 5.05 million after 36.6 million shares were traded through 1,175 transactions.
Kuwait Finance House (KFH) posted the highest liquidity of KWD 1.35 million.
Ithmaar was the most active stock on which 12 million shares were exchanged.
