Mubasher: The indices of Boursa Kuwait started Thursday’s trading session in the red; the benchmark price index retreated 0.33% or 22 points to 6,635.8 points.
By 9:50am Kuwait time, both the weighted and Kuwait-15 indices lost 0.03% and 0.22%, respectively.
Telecom companies led decliners with 1.73%, dragged by Viva which lost 3%.
Meanwhile, the technology sector topped gainers with 0.74%, followed by the banking segment which added 0.42%.
KAMCO was the top loser with 18.18%, while Al Madina topped winners with 5.7%.
Boursa Kuwait’s turnover stood at KWD 3.1 million after 21.6 million shares were exchanged through 900 transactions.
Zain posted the highest liquidity of about KWD 702,400. The stock lost 1.28%.
Ajwan was the most active stock on which 6 million shares were traded. The stock added 2.56%.
