Mubasher: The indices of Boursa Kuwait started Thursday’s trading session with a grouped rise; the benchmark price index added 0.21% or 13.7 points to reach 6,616.97 points.
By 9:25am Kuwait time, both the weighted and Kuwait-15 indices gained 0.15% and 0.17%, respectively.
The basic materials segment topped gainers with 1.2%, backed by Kuwait Foundry which rose by 9.21% to be the top winner.
Financial services companies went up 0.75% in line with the 3.33% increase of Kuwait Investment.
Meanwhile, the consumer goods sector led decliners with 0.24%, dragged by Danah Al Safat which lost 1.13%.
Boursa Kuwait’s turnover stood at KWD 2.1 million after 16.4 million shares were exchanged through 660 transactions.
Ithmaar was the most active stock on which 5.23 million shares were traded at a total value of nearly KWD 276,000.
