Mubasher: The benchmark price index of Boursa Kuwait started Thursday’s trading session 0.27% or 17 points lower at 6,367.52 points.
Similarly, both the weighted and Kuwait-15 indices retreated 0.17% and 0.11%, respectively.
By 9:35am Kuwait time, financial services companies led decliners with 1.13%m dragged by Arzan which lost 16.7%.
The telecom segment went down 0.56%, as Viva and Zain dropped 1.8% and 0.24%, respectively.
Meanwhile, the oil and gas segment topped gainers with 0.83%, backed by IPG which added 4.2%.
The Boursa Kuwait’s liquidity amounted to KWD 1.1 million after 7.3 million shares were traded through 391 transactions.
The National Bank of Kuwait (NBK) posted the highest turnover of nearly KWD 542,600.
Ithmaar was the most active stock on which 1.91 million shares were traded, rising 4.3%.
