Mubasher: The indices of Boursa Kuwait started Thursday’s trading session with a massive decline; the benchmark price index retreated 19.4 points, or 0.29%, to 6,789.09 points.
By 9:30 am Kuwait time, both the weighted and Kuwait-15 indices levelled down 0.24% and 0.16%, respectively.
Technology companies led decliners with 1.3%, followed by the telecom sector with 1% in line with the decrease of Ooredoo and Viva by 5% and 0.26%, respectively.
Meanwhile, insurance firms topped gainers with 0.68%, backed by Warba Insurance which rose by 10.3%.
Boursa Kuwait’s turnover amounted to KWD 1.3 million after 8.5 million shares were exchanged through 450 transactions.
Human Soft posted the highest trading value of KWD 476,600. The stock retreated 2.4%.
Ajwan, listed on the parallel market, was the most active stock on which 2.2 million shares were traded.
