Mubasher: The indices of Boursa Kuwait started Tuesday’s trading session with a massive increase; the benchmark price index went up 0.16%, or 10.5 points, to 6,717.91 points.
By 9:52 am Kuwait time, both the weighted and Kuwait-15 indices added 0.51% and 0.72%, respectively.
The banking segment topped gainers with 0.93%, dragged by the Commercial Bank of Kuwait (CBK) which rose by 7.5%.
Meanwhile, telecom companies led decliners with 0.37%, pressured by Viva and Ooredoo which lost 1.45% and 0.73%, respectively.
The Energy House was the top winner with a gain of 11.5%, while Salbookh Trading led losers with 6.4%.
Boursa Kuwait’s turnover amounted to KWD 4.1 million after 30.7 million shares were exchanged through 1,000 transactions.
Kuwait Finance House (KFH) posted the highest trading value of around KWD 502,800. The stock added 0.17%.
Rising by 4.17%, Ithmaar was the most active stock on which 5.7 million shares were traded.
