Mubasher: The benchmark price index of Boursa Kuwait started Tuesday’s session 0.06% or 4.25 points lower at 6,668.7 points.
By 10:05am Kuwait time, both the weighted and Kuwait-15 indices retreated 0.24% and 0.58%, respectively.
Oil and gas companies led decliners with 2.7%, dragged by Senergy and Napesco which lost 2.4% and 7%, respectively.
Earlier on Tuesday, Napesco announced a 30.1% increase in profits of fiscal year 2017, with 60% proposed dividends.
Meanwhile, the insurance sector topped four gainers with 0.74%.
Kuwait Cable led losers with 20%, while Warba Insurance topped winners with 16.7%.
Boursa Kuwait’s turnover amounted to KWD 8.3 million after 69 million shares were exchanged through 2,020 transactions.
The National Bank of Kuwait (NBK) posted the highest liquidity of KWD 1.7 million.
Ithmaar was the most active stock on which 21.24 million shares were traded.
