Mubasher: The indices of Boursa Kuwait started Monday’s trading session with a massive decline.
By 9:50 am Kuwait time, the benchmark price index edged down 0.33% or 22 points to 6,602.29 points; both the weighted and Kuwait-15 indices retreated 0.81% and 1.22%, respectively.
Technology companies led decliners with 2.44%, followed by the financial services and banking segments with a fall of 0.66% and 0.6%, respectively.
The consumer goods sector was the only gainer with 0.43% in line with the 1.83% rise of Mezzan Holding.
Gulf Franchising led the losers with 19.9%, while Marakez topped the winners with 17.9%.
Boursa Kuwait’s turnover amounted to KWD 2.1 million after 8.62 million shares were traded through 550 transactions.
Kuwait Finance House (KFH) was the most active stock on which 1.56 million shares were exchanged. The stock went down 0.17% to 589 fils.
