Mubasher: The indices of Boursa Kuwait started Sunday's early trades as the price index increased 0.03%, or 2.2 points, to 6,410.21 points, while the weighted and Kuwait-15 indices inched up 0.12% and 0.13%, respectively.
By 9:47 am Kuwait time, the consumer goods sector rose 2.3% after Livestock Transport and Trading Company’s stock jumped 7%.
The banking sector went up 0.55% after Ithmaar Holding, Boubyan Bank, and Kuwait Finance House (KFH) stocks gained 4.3%, 1.61%, and 0.17%, respectively.
On the other hand, the telecommunications sector edged down 0.2% after ANN Digital Services’ stock fell 2.4% and Kuwait Telecommunication Co’s (Viva) stock slipped 0.25%.
The bourse’s trading volume reached 19 million shares, through 520 transactions, with a liquidity of KWD 1.25 million.
Ithmaar Holding’s stock was the most active in terms of traded volume after 11.04 million shares were exchanged, generating KWD 478,320.
