Mubasher: The indices of Boursa Kuwait started Tuesday’s trading session with a mixed performance.
By 9:27am Kuwait time, the All-Share Market index edged up 0.02% or 0.8 points to reach 4,893.67 points.
The Main Market index added 0.7% or 34.3 points to 4,924.01 points, while the Premier Market index retreated 0.38% or 18.7 points to 4,876.08 points.
Telecom companies topped the gainers with 1.42% in line with a 14% rise of Ooredoo to be the top winner in the Main Market.
Meanwhile, the financial services segment led the decliners with 1.67%, dragged by Al Madina for Finance which lost 9.9% in the Main Market and by GFH with a drop of 7.2% in the Premier Market.
Boursa Kuwait’s turnover amounted to KWD 857,000 after 6.5 million shares were exchanged through 375 transactions.
Kuwait Finance House (KFH) was the most active stock, in the Premier Market, with about 290,500 traded shares valued at nearly KWD 151,100. The stock edged down 1.9%.
In the Main Market, HEISCO posted the highest liquidity of around KWD 257,800 with the stock adding 5%, while Jiyad was the most active stock on which 1.47 million shares were traded. The stock reached 104 fils.
