Mubasher: The benchmark price index of Boursa Kuwait started Wednesday’s session 0.01% or 0.76 points higher to reach 6,765.6 points.
Similarly, both the weighted and Kuwait-15 indices rose by 0.36% and 0.53%, respectively.
The positive performance of the main index will be achieved by breaking the 6,830-point level, capital market analyst Mohamad Al Anzi said.
By 9.26am Kuwait time, the consumer goods segment topped gainers with 1.33%, backed by Livestock and Americana which levelled up 3.7% and 0.61%, respectively.
Meanwhile, the oil and gas sector led six decliners with 0.3%, dragged by PetroGulf and Burgan Drilling which retreated by 1.33% and 1.22%, respectively.
KAMCO led losers with a fall of 17.8%, while Ekttitab Holding topped winners with a rise of 6.85%.
Boursa Kuwait’s turnover amounted to KWD 4.6 million after 19 million shares were traded through 695 transactions.
Zain recorded the highest liquidity of KWD 1.42 million, up 0.98%.
