Mubasher: The indices of Boursa Kuwait started Wednesday’s trading session 0.35% or 23.4 points higher at 6,793.73 points.
Similarly, the weighted and Kuwait-15 indices added 0.05% and 0.01%, respectively.
By 9:45am Kuwait time, the financial services segment topped gainers with 1.04%, backed by National International Holding which rose by 18.8%.
Meanwhile, telecom companies led decliners with 1.2%, dragged by Viva and Zain which lost 1.94% and 0.63%, respectively.
Burgan Drilling was the top winner with a rise of 19.9%.
Boursa Kuwait’s turnover amounted to KWD 4 million after 21.3 million shares were exchanged through 735 transactions.
Ahli United Bank (AUB) posted the highest trading value of about KWD 967,300. The stock retreated 0.46%.
Up 4.8%, Ithmaar was the most active stock on which 5.13 million shares were traded.
