Kuwait – Mubasher: The price index of Boursa Kuwait started Wednesday’s session 0.27% or 18.54 points lower at 6,726.13 points.
Both the weighted and Kuwait-15 indices fell 0.26% and 0.25%, respectively.
By 9:00 am Kuwait time, the telecom segment led seven decliners with 1.31%, dragged by Hits Telecom which fell 5.09%.
Meanwhile, the insurance sector rose 3.35%, in line with Wethaq which jumped 20% to be the top winner. Similarly, the consumer services segment went up 0.08%, on the back of Alrai which gained 0.78%.
The market’s turnover amounted to KWD 2.5 million, after 17.5 million shares were traded through 510 transactions.
Al Imtiaz was the most active stock on which 2.47 million shares were exchanged.
Human Soft recorded the highest liquidity of about KWD 609,240.
