Kuwait - Mubasher: The benchmark index of Boursa Kuwait lost 2.65% or 186.42 points to reach 6,843.01 points by the end of April, compared to 7,029.43 points by the end of March.
The weighted index retreated by 1.2%, while Kuwait-15 levelled down by 1.55%.
During April, the market’s turnover dropped 24.5% to KWD 517.5 million from KWD 685.3 million in March.
The trading volume shrank by 19.95% to 5.90 billion shares this month from 7.37 billion in March. The transactions decreased by 24.6% to about 115,900 from nearly 153,700 deals in March.
Boursa Kuwait’s market cap declined by 1.2% or KWD 340 million to reach KWD 28.01 billion ($91.57 billion) in April from KWD 28.35 billion ($92.68 billion) by the end of March.
