Mubasher: The indices of Boursa Kuwait registered a positive performance during the week ended on 9 August in line with a growth in the trading activity.
The All-Share Market added 1.44% or 74.8 points to reach 5,280.86 points this week compared to 5,206.07 points in the prior week.
The Premier Market went up 2% or 106.5 points to close this week at 5,455.85 points from 5,349.33 points.
Similarly, the Main Market rose by 0.34% or 17 points to 4,963.1 points from 4,946.19 points a week ago.
Boursa Kuwait’s trading volume increased by 58.2% to 761.08 million shares from 481.02 million a week ago.
Turnover grew by 31.7% to KWD 145.02 million from KWD 110.13 million in the past week.
The number of transactions enlarged by 26.5% to about 29,750 from nearly 23,510 last week.
Market cap grew by 1.5% or KWD 430 million ($1.4 billion) to KWD 29.85 billion compared to KWD 29.42 billion a week ago.
